Introduced new wireless H2S gas detectors to ensure safe operation of the plant
Recently, Emerson introduced the Rosemount 928 Wireless Gas Detector to help customers easily increase the detection of gas in hard-to-reach locations, improve the installation coverage of gas detectors, and ensure the safe operation of the plant.
In response to the rigorous H2S monitoring of wellheads, tanks or other remote field environments, Emerson has released a wireless gas detection system that combines power, sensors and wireless HART transmitters, eliminating the need for any wiring and solving customers' previous problems. On-site or hard-to-reach on-site installation of gas detection costs expensive installation costs or problems that cannot be installed, significantly improving the safety of these areas.
Usually, when operators perform maintenance work on the site of a wellhead or remote tank area, these places do not have traditional wired gas alarms or portable sensors that are carried by operators only due to cost constraints or field wiring difficulties. Inevitably, operators are exposed to unsafe risks. If a traditional wired gas alarm is installed on these occasions, it is expected to add tens of thousands of dollars in wiring installation, wiring, and commissioning costs, so that operators usually rely solely on handheld gas detectors to provide alarm protection for personal safety; or In the worst case, there is no gas alarm on site and the operator works directly on the unsafe site.
The RosemountTM 928 Wireless Gas Detector, which is connected to the wireless HART network, integrates batteries, sensors and wireless HART transmitters without any wiring, significantly reducing the cost of wiring, installation, commissioning and maintenance while accessing the wireless network. Realize remote detection of remote on-site environmental conditions to ensure the safety of the maintenance site.
The RosemountTM 928 Wireless Gas Detector includes both the power supply and the RosemountTM 628 Gas Gas Sensor Module in an intrinsically safe design that is easy to replace in the field and requires no tools to complete in minutes. In addition, the RosemountTM 628 Gas Gas Sensor is a smart module sensor that stores sensor calibration information directly, allowing users to calibrate in a safe area and then quickly install it on site. In this way, field operators minimize work in hazardous areas and improve the safety of field personnel.
“It will become more and more urgent to monitor the demand for H2S in these challenging locations,” said Sean McLeskey, Emerson Flame and Detection Gas Product Manager. “Wireless technology allows customers to easily solve these problems now, which proves Powerful wireless technology. For existing users of existing wireless solutions, or those considering wireless solutions, the RosemountTM 928 Wireless Gas Detector is an important step in improving their plant safety. ”
