Electric Machine (Electric Machine) is an electromagnetic device that converts electrical energy and mechanical energy into each other, and is an indispensable power equipment in modern industry, transportation and daily life. According to the direction of energy conversion, the motor can be divided into two categories: motor (converts electrical energy into mechanical energy) and generator (converts mechanical energy into electrical energy). Whether it is the operation of electric fans or the hydraulic generators that power cities, the core principle is based on electromagnetic interaction.
The core working principle of the motor is derived from the law of electromagnetic induction and the law of ampere force. In the case of an electric motor, when a current passes through the winding (coil) of the motor, a magnetic field is created around it. The magnetic field interacts with the magnetic field formed by the permanent magnet or electromagnet inside the motor to generate a rotating torque and drive the rotor to rotate, thus achieving the conversion of electrical energy to mechanical energy. On the contrary, the generator drives the rotor by an external force to rotate, so that the coil cuts the magnetic induction line, thereby generating an induced electromotive force, which converts mechanical energy into electrical energy.
