The motor continues to work." In 2018, Professor Cheng Ming from Southeast University was awarded the "Second Jiangsu Patent Inventor Award" by the Jiangsu Provincial Government. He led the team to create a theoretical system of single-sided magnetic field motors, which solved the above two problems. "The permanent magnet of the permanent magnet motor is located in the rotor, which results in low strength of the rotor structure, and the heat generated by the permanent magnet is difficult to dissipate, which restricts the ability of the motor to output mechanical energy." Professor Cheng Ming introduced the thinking mode of the traditional permanent magnet motor design. The new stator permanent magnet motor structure, through reasonable design of the energized coil, largely eliminates the speed instability, vibration, noise, etc. of the motor during operation, improves the output kinetic energy of the motor, improves the performance of the motor, and does not require additional cost. .
In response to the problem of "narrow-speed range of permanent magnet motor", Professor Cheng Ming proposed a stator-type motor structure, which uniquely placed the permanent magnet and the energized coil on the stationary stator, eliminating the brush and the traditional structure. Slip ring. The existence of brushes and slip rings in the traditional structure leads to direct mechanical contact between the rotating rotor and the stationary stator, which reduces the reliability of the motor. The new motor proposed by Professor Cheng Ming solves this problem, and the related patent technology is successfully applied to electric vehicles. In the fields of wind power generation and flywheel power system, the cruising range of electric vehicles can be increased by 8% and the climbing ability can be increased by 25%.

With the rapid development of strategic emerging industries such as electric vehicles and new energy power generation, higher requirements have been placed on motors, and technologies to improve fault tolerance and speed control have become major demands. Professor Cheng Ming's team creatively applied the new fault-tolerant motor structure to the design and improved fault tolerance. In recent years, Professor Cheng Ming has hosted more than 50 projects including the National 973 Program, the National 863 Program, the National Natural Science Foundation, and major international cooperation projects. He has obtained 126 Chinese invention patents and 3 PCT patents.
