In April 2013, he moved to the Wujin factory and produced 5 welding robots. In June 2013, Yaskawa Electric invested in a robot factory officially opened in Changzhou, Jiangsu. As a result, Yaskawa (China) Robot Co., Ltd. became the first company in Japan to set up a factory to produce robots in China.
General Manager Shibuya Hiroshi introduced that from the factory in 2013 to today, 10,000 units were completed in 2016. With the rapid development of the Chinese market, the production of the factory has also increased steadily. In June 2017, it set a record of 20,000 units. Last year, the Chinese robot market exploded, and 30,000 units were produced this summer. In the past few years, the robot market has been increasing steadily. In order to cope with market demand, Yaskawa has also set up a new production plan, hoping to complete the production target of 40,000 units and 50,000 units in a short period of time.
The third factory, which was the second phase of the project, was officially opened on June 15, 2018. Yaskawa will reorganize its production equipment and set a plan of 1,500 units per month in the current year. In the future, we will continue to expand our production system and strive to achieve the goal of 2,000 units per month by 2020. General Manager Shibuya Hiroshi believes that from the perspective of the growth rate of the Chinese market, it can continue to increase production capacity. Yaskawa decided to build a fourth plant in the open space and realize a system of 2,000 units per month.
