The chip features a high performance, fully compensated error amplifier. In closed-loop speed control, the amplifier's DC voltage gain is 80dB, the gain bandwidth is 0.6MHz, and the input common-mode voltage range is from ground to VREF (typically 6.25V) for good performance. For open loop speed control, this amplifier can be connected to a voltage follower with a gain of 1, that is, the speed set voltage is input from its non-inverting input pin 11. Pins 12 to 13 are shorted.
