In the field of inverter household appliances, SLIMDIP-S for inverter refrigerators and fan drives, and SLIMDIP-L intelligent power modules for inverter air conditioners and washing machines, and surface mount IPMs help to promote the miniaturization of inverter household appliances.

In industrial applications, Mitsubishi Electric's seventh-generation IGBTs and seventh-generation IPM modules have adopted SLC packaging technology for the first time, which has greatly extended the application life of the modules. In the field of new energy power generation, especially wind power generation, this year, a new IGBT module based on LV100 package will be introduced to improve the power density and cost performance of wind power converters.

In the field of track traction applications, the X series HVIGBT has a safe working area, increased current density, and enhanced humidity resistance, which helps to further improve the reliability of the traction converter on-site operation. In the field of electric vehicles, the J1 series Pin-fin module has a small package and low internal stray inductance.

In 2018, Mitsubishi Electric will strengthen the promotion and application of new products in the above five major areas. In the field of inverter household appliances, Mitsubishi Electric will expand and strengthen the application of SLIMDIP-L in split-type inverter air conditioners and inverter washing machines, and gradually expand the application of SLIMDIP-S in air-conditioning fans and inverter refrigerators, in the application of smaller power inverter appliances. Gradually promote the use of surface-mount IPM. Mitsubishi Electric will strengthen the market expansion of the 7th generation IGBT module in medium and low voltage inverters, photovoltaic inverters, electric buses, energy storage inverters, SVG, wind power generation, etc. In the field of electric passenger cars, Mitsubishi The motor will provide customers with special modules and overall solutions for electric vehicles; in the field of track traction, the latest X series HVIGBTs will be extended to high-speed rail, motor trains, subways and other applications.
