Dana has implemented a series of strategic initiatives to support electrification and hybridization, including the acquisition of Brevini's power transmission and fluid power business; acquisition of majority ownership of motor and inverter manufacturer TM4 GmbH; acquisition with Oerlikon Group Its transmission system business agreement. Combined with the company's core expertise in driveline technology, sealing systems and thermal management, these initiatives aim to turn Dana into a leading supplier of off-highway vehicles.
After the recent acquisition of TM4, Dana's electrification capabilities have been further enhanced, and it is now possible to design and manufacture motors, inverters and control systems independently. Dana also offers a wide range of Brevini® drive products to support the unique power configuration requirements of hybrid and electric off-highway vehicles. These products include gear pumps, hydraulic power units, valves and controls, hydraulic axial piston motors and pumps, rail motors, controller hardware and software, advanced sensor technology, and operator information display systems.
In addition to the e-Hub drive system, Dana currently offers dozens of successful electrification applications for off-highway vehicle customers using a wide range of technology combinations, some of which have already started production and some are undergoing pre-production testing.
