Why does the hair dryer motor have a burning smell

Causes of hair dryer scorching

1. Hair or foreign objects involved

Reason: When using a hair dryer, if the hair is too close to the air outlet of the hair dryer, it is easy to be involved in the air inlet. In addition, foreign objects such as dust and fluff in the surrounding environment may also be sucked into the hair dryer with the air intake. When these hair or foreign objects come into contact with the heating element, they will burn due to high temperature, resulting in a burning smell.

2. Use time is too long

Reason: When the hair dryer is working, the internal heating wire will continue to heat up, heating the air and blowing it out. Long-term use will cause the heating wire and other components to be in a high temperature state. When the heat cannot be dissipated in time, it may cause some components to overheat and produce a burning smell.

3. Clogged vents

Reason: The vents of the hair dryer are the key parts to ensure its normal heat dissipation. If the vents are blocked by towels, clothes and other items, or a large amount of dust accumulates in the air inlet for a long time, the air circulation is not smooth, and the heat inside the hair dryer cannot be effectively discharged, which will cause the local temperature to be too high, thereby causing a burning smell.

How to deal with the smell of burning

1. Check and clean foreign objects

Operation steps: First, turn off the hair dryer immediately and unplug it. After it cools down, carefully check the air inlet and outlet. If you find that there is hair caught in it, you can try to carefully clip the hair out with tweezers. If there is a lot of dust or other foreign objects in the air inlet, you can use a small brush to gently brush it away, or use the cold air gear of the hair dryer to blow the dust out in the opposite direction.

Benefits: This can not only ensure that the hair is dried quickly, but also effectively reduce the risk of overheating inside the hair dryer and extend its service life.

2. Ensure smooth ventilation

Operation: When using a hair dryer, place it in a well-ventilated location to avoid obstructions around it. Clean the air inlet and outlet regularly. You can wipe the outer shell with a clean damp cloth to keep the vents clean. For removable air inlet filters, they should be removed and cleaned regularly to ensure smooth air circulation.

Importance: Good ventilation is the basis for ensuring the normal operation and heat dissipation of the hair dryer, and can effectively prevent the smell of burning due to overheating.
