Two ways to teach you to protect the motor from moisture
When the motor is wet, it will produce a series of phenomena such as rusting and unfavorable cable. How can we prevent the occurrence of moisture? The small sales department of the motor factory introduces you to:
Light bulb drying method: Put one or several high-power incandescent bulbs (such as 100w) into the motor cavity for drying. Note: The bulb should not be too close to the coil to prevent the coil from burning out. The motor casing can be covered with canvas or the like for heat preservation.
There are also desiccants available:
(1) Quicklime desiccant. The main component is calcium oxide, and its water absorption capacity is achieved by a chemical reaction, so water absorption is irreversible. Regardless of the humidity of the external environment, it can maintain a moisture absorption capacity of more than 35% of its own weight, is more suitable for storage at low temperatures, has excellent dry moisture absorption, and is relatively inexpensive.
(2) Silica gel desiccant. The desiccant is a different type of silica gel packaged in a moisture permeable pouch. The main raw material silica gel is a highly microporous structure of hydrous silica, which is non-toxic, odorless, odorless, chemically stable, and has strong hygroscopic properties. Relative price is more expensive.
