1. Classification by structure and working principle
Geared motors can be divided into asynchronous geared motors and synchronous geared motors according to their structure and working principle. Synchronous gear motors can also be divided into permanent magnet synchronous micro gear motors, reluctance synchronous micro gear motors and hysteresis micro gear motors. Asynchronous micro gear motors can be divided into induction micro gear motors and AC commutator micro gear motors.

2. Classification by operating speed
Micro motors can be divided into high-speed micro-motors, low-speed micro-motors, constant-speed micro-motors, and speed-regulated micro-motors according to the operating speed. Low-speed micro-motors are further divided into gear reduction micro-motors, electromagnetic deceleration micro-motors, torque micro-motors and claw-pole synchronous micro-motors.
3. Classification by use
Micro motors can be divided into micro gear motors for driving and micro gear motors for control according to their applications. The miniature geared motors for driving are further divided into miniature geared motors for electric tools, miniature geared motors for household appliances, and micro geared motors for other general-purpose small mechanical equipment. Micro gear motors for control are further divided into stepper micro gear motors and servo micro gear motors.

4. Classification according to the structure of the rotor
Micro geared motors can be divided into squirrel cage induction micro gear motors and wound rotor induction micro gear motors according to the structure of the rotor.
5. Classification by working power
According to the different working power supply of micro gear motor, it can be divided into DC micro gear motor and AC micro gear motor. Among them, the AC micro gear motor is also divided into single-phase micro gear motor (110v/220v) and three-phase micro gear motor .(220v/380v)
