Frequency conversion motor system energy saving technology

Frequency conversion motor system energy saving technology

Motor loss and efficiency:

When a motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy, it also consumes a portion of its energy. These losses are generally classified into winding loss, core loss, wind and loss, and load stray loss.

The efficiency of the motor is the ratio of the effective output power to the input power. The effective output power is the difference between the input power and the power consumption of the motor itself. Effectively reducing its own power consumption can achieve the purpose of improving motor efficiency.

High efficiency motor:

High-efficiency motors (YX, YX, etc.) usually refer to high-efficiency three-phase asynchronous motors. An electric motor whose efficiency level can meet or exceed the energy-saving evaluation value specified in the National Standard for Energy Efficiency of Motors (GB18613-2002).

National Standard for Energy Efficiency of Electric Motors:

The national standard for energy efficiency of electric motors is “the energy efficiency limit value and energy conservation evaluation value of small and medium-sized three-phase asynchronous motors”, and the national standard is GB18613-2002. It was issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine on January 10, 2002 and implemented on August 1, 2002. The energy efficiency limit value is the allowable value of the minimum efficiency of the motor and is a mandatory indicator; the energy conservation evaluation value is the recognized value of the high efficiency motor and is a recommended indicator.

Selection of high efficiency motors:

High efficiency motors should be considered for the following situations. (1) When a new motor is required for a new project; (2) When the old motor is damaged or the motor needs to be re-wound; (3) When the motor needs to be renewed under long-term operation under low load or overload condition.

High efficiency motor energy saving effect:

Compared with ordinary motors, high-efficiency motors optimize the overall design, and use high-quality copper windings and silicon steel sheets to reduce various losses, reduce losses by 20%-30%, and improve efficiency by 2%-7%. Usually 1-2 years, some as short as a few months.
