(1) Listen to the bearing noise of the gear reduction motor.

Normal sound - no continuous metal sounds that are high or low.

Retaining Sound - A light "click" produced by the rotation of a roller or ball with a retainer, containing irregular metal sounds independent of speed. This sound has no effect on the operation if it becomes smaller or disappears after adding the lubricant.

Crack sound—the sound that is produced when a crack occurs on the raceway surface of a bearing, on the surface of a ball or a roller, and its cycle is proportional to the rotational speed. When a bearing crack occurs, it must be replaced quickly before it develops into overheating and sintering.

The sound of the falling of the roller - this is the sound that the geared motor occurs in the horizontal rotation, which is inaudible during normal operation, audible when the speed is low, and is particularly clear when it is about to stop. This "shell-like" sound does not interfere with the operation.

Dust sound - is the sound that is produced when dust is embedded between the raceway surface and the rollers or balls. After the dust sound occurs, the bearing components should be disassembled and cleaned, and the dirt of the lubricating oil injection port and the dirt of the lubricating oil injection gun should be removed to eliminate the cause of the blockage.

(2) Listen to the rotor noise of the gear reduction motor.

Rotor noise is usually fan sound, brush friction, and occasionally a loud sound like a drum. This is a sudden start and stop, especially when the reversing brake regenerative braking is frequently performed. Because it produces torque during the acceleration and deceleration, the cooperation between the iron core and the shaft is loosened, and the key is severely rubbed. occurring.

The coupling between the bearing bush of the coupling or the pulley is too loose; the wear and deformation of the coupling bolt; the lack of lubricating oil in the gear coupling and the wear of the tooth; the belt is slack and worn. These factors may cause noise in the geared motor.

(3) Listen to the electromagnetic noise of the gear reduction motor.

Generally, the internal gear reduction motor has more or less electromagnetic noise inside, and disappears when the power is turned off. Electromagnetic noise is mostly the sound of electromagnetic vibration and the resonance of the outer and stator cores. The factors causing large electromagnetic noise are: uneven air gap, loose core, current imbalance, and high harmonic current.

When the gear reduction motor starts again, abnormal vibration and noise will occur. There may be no serious damage to the gear motor in a short time. However, if the time is long, it will have serious consequences. Therefore, we should find out the abnormality of the gear reduction motor in time.
