Different machine holes, methods
The simple drilling mode of the end hole of the drill base is to use the clearance between the base seat and the die stop. After the first hole is drilled, the fixing pin is inserted, so that the mold and the base do not move relative to each other, and then the other holes are drilled. The distance between the foot hole and the center line of the base is one of the main mounting dimensions of the motor and must be strictly controlled.
The machine base addition method is different, and the drilling and tapping methods of the machine base are also different.
Option One
The bottom hole is drilled after the inner circle, the end face and the stop are machined, so that the hole can be positioned according to the inner circle or the end face and the stop. Since the foot plane is not in the same direction as the inner circle and the stop surface, the positioning and processing of the foot hole causes certain difficulties.
There are two types of commonly used foot hole drills.
For small machine bases, when drilling, first place the drill on the work surface of the drill press, then place the base on the inner circumference of the tire, and clamp the base with the tension screw and the pressure plate. Finally, the drill bit is used to guide the drill bit. The symmetry of the foot hole to the centerline of the base is guaranteed by the mold. However, the loading and unloading of the base is more difficult.
For medium-sized machine bases, when drilling, first place the machine base on the workbench of the rocker drill press, and use the stop circle on the front and rear of the two templates to match the stop at the two ends of the frame. The mold handle and the eccentric mechanism interact to make the template coincide with the vertical centerline of the base to ensure the symmetry of the foot hole to the vertical centerline of the base. Then, the two front and rear stencils are fastened by the tensioning screw, and the axial distance of the foot hole is located. Finally, the drill bit is used to guide the drill bit. Its shortcomings are: (1) There is a gap between the drill and the top of the foot, which is inconvenient to eliminate the chips and affect the drilling efficiency; (2) The drill pipe is long, the sway is large, and it is easy to hit the machine seat wall.
Option II
Drill the foot hole first, and then machine the end stops, end faces and inner circle. The symmetry of the foot hole to the center line of the machine base is guaranteed by the adjustment work of the machine tool.
The tapping can be manually tapped, or it can be tapped by a machine tool, or a multi-head tapping chuck can be used to make several bolt holes hit once. The speed of the tap is much slower than the speed of the drill. Some taps are equipped with safety devices. When the taps are attacked or the resistance is too large, they will automatically stop to prevent the taps from breaking.
