The component of stainless steel fan with frequent problems -- sealing component of drive shaft
Seal as-drive shaft
The assembly is composed of two independent lip seals immersed in oil, which are located in the drive end cover.
If the oil level of the sight gauge increases, it means that the oil leakage through the inner component is excessive, and it should be replaced as an assembly part.
Unless the seal or its bearing surface is damaged, there is little possibility of leakage through the outer member.
In addition, the smoothness of the shaft has a considerable impact on the performance of this type of seal. The operation problem may be caused by causes other than component damage.
Since the gap is only a few thousandths of an inch, interference and friction can result from changes in installation or changes in pipe supports.
