Wheel-side motor is not good enough. New energy bus motor evolution survey
If the engine is the heart of a car, then the motor is undoubtedly the heart of a pure electric car.
At the just-concluded Beijing Road Transportation Exhibition, domestic mainstream bus companies such as Yutong, Futian Ouhui, Zhongtong, Ankai, Shenlong, Nanjing Jinlong and Suzhou Jinlong jointly exhibited 24 new energy bus products. What are the changes and characteristics of the 24 new energy buses in the motor drive system?
"Home-grown" motor system accounts for nearly 70%
At the exhibition, Yutong brought three new energy bus products, all of which matched Yutong's own drive system. Yutong technicians said that the drive system not only has the advantages of low cost, high protection level and good vehicle matching, but also the most important point is that the efficient driving efficiency is over 96%, which fully meets the high efficiency of the new energy bus to the drive motor system. High torque and wide speed regulation requirements.
Nanjing Jinlong and Futian Ouhui also brought their own products, which are matched with self-produced motor drive systems. The technicians of the two car companies said that the self-produced drive system has the advantages of low cost, high vehicle matching, and reduced overall vehicle operating costs.
Although many companies are full of praise for the self-produced drive system, ZTE smart cars have given a different view. ZTE has brought a GTZ6129BEVB pure electric bus, which matches the Peter motor and does not have a gearbox. For the reason of choosing the US Pate to the motor, ZTE technicians said that Pate is a big brand, the technology is mature and the quality is guaranteed. "Some manufacturers' nominally independent brand motors are actually OEM."
Central motor drive is still the mainstream wheel drive is not good
Most of the models participating in this exhibition are central direct drive motors. However, due to the requirements for lightweight vehicles and low floor heating, wheel drive technology came into being. Wheel-side motor systems are considered by many industry insiders to be the future development trend due to their high efficiency, low energy consumption and low cost of use.
Xiao Bian noted that the 11 new energy bus companies participating in the exhibition only had two companies that chose the wheel-drive system, matching BYD and ZF.
Among them, the six products brought by BYD match the BYD wheel motor drive system. According to BYD staff, BYD's wheel motor drive system is self-developed and self-produced. It uses permanent magnet synchronous technology to achieve a good balance in terms of volume, weight, torque, accuracy, noise and life cycle maintenance costs. . Moreover, the wheel drive system is considered to be the trend of future motor development due to its high efficiency, low energy consumption and low cost.
On the other hand, the show car equipped with the ZF wheel motor drive system appeared on the booth of Ankai Bus (000868). Compared with other companies' "non-black and white", Ankai brought two new energy bus products, one matching Ankai direct drive motor and one matching ZF wheel motor drive system.
"The reason why the sixth generation of pure electric buses did not use Ankai brand motors is because Ankai does not have the technology to produce wheel motors. We only have direct drive motor production technology. At present, Ankai sixth generation pure electric buses are The pure electric bus with leading domestic technology level, in line with the principle of being responsible for users, Ankai matches the higher cost ZF wheel motor drive system.” Ankai technical staff explained.
Only 4 models of car motors are equipped with gearboxes of 10 meters or more.
In addition to the wheel drive system is optimistic in the industry, in order to improve the vehicle climbing force and motor efficiency, the central motor matching gearbox is also considered to be one of the trends in the development of pure electric vehicles. However, at this road transportation exhibition, only three of the 24 new energy vehicles – Shenlong, Shuchi, and North Bus, are equipped with AMT gearboxes, accounting for 17%. Interestingly, all four cars are large buses of 10 meters or more.
