What Motor Does The Fan Use?fan Motor Replacement

What Motor does the fan use?

Fan Motor. The electric fan generally uses the single-phase alternating current machine or the cover pole type electric motor. The cover-pole motor is simple in structure, easy in production, convenient in maintenance and low in cost, but it is only used on small size table-top electric fan because of its small starting Torque, poor overload capacity and low efficiency. At present, most electric fans are made up of capacitor-operated motors with large power factor, good start-up performance, high efficiency, strong overload capacity and stable operation.

1. Working principle of capacitor running motor. The capacitor-operated motor is composed of a stator and a squirrel-cage Rotor. The stator is embedded with a primary winding and a secondary winding. The main and auxiliary windings are mutually arranged at 900 electric angles in space. When the primary and secondary windings are connected to the single-phase electric power, the primary windings generate a pulsating magnetic field, and the secondary windings are under the action of the capacitor, a pulsating magnetic field with an angle of about 90'ahead of the phase of the main winding is generated. These two pulsating magnetic fields combine to form a rotating magnetic field, which pushes the rotor to start up. Because the capacitor is always connected to the circuit when it is running, the motor is called the capacitor running motor. In fact, it is a two-phase motor.
