How Does A Massage Chair Work?

The motor operation state of the massage chair directly affects the massage effect and user experience. Usually, massage chairs use multiple motors to control different massage parts, such as back, legs, neck, etc. The motor controls the movement of these parts to achieve different massage techniques.

The main operation states of the massage chair motor include:

Starting state:

The motor starts working after power is turned on, driving the massage roller, airbag and other parts to move. When starting, the motor needs to provide enough torque to push the relevant parts into the working state.

Constant speed operation state:

In normal operation, the motor runs at a constant speed, driving the roller to move smoothly along the guide rail, or driving the airbag to inflate/deflate, to achieve massage actions such as kneading, patting, and pushing.

The control system controls the massage rhythm and strength by adjusting the motor speed.

Variable speed state:

In order to adapt to different massage modes, the motor will have a variable speed requirement. For example, in the gentle massage mode, the motor speed is low, and the massage action is slow and comfortable; while in the deep massage mode, the motor will accelerate to enhance the massage strength and effect.

The running speed of the motor is controlled by adjusting the pulse signal frequency.

Load adjustment state:

When the massage component encounters greater resistance (such as user body pressure or tight massage area), the motor will automatically adjust its operating state to cope with the load change. Generally speaking, the motor will increase its output power to ensure normal operation, and will not stop or slow down due to increased load.

Stop state:

When the massage ends or enters standby mode, the motor will gradually slow down until it stops. At this time, the control system cuts off the power supply to the motor and stops it from working.

By accurately controlling the start, speed change, and stop of the motor, the massage chair can simulate a variety of different massage techniques, such as kneading, tapping, massage, pressing, etc., to provide a comfortable massage experience. At the same time, the motor's operating state will also automatically adjust according to the user's choice and massage program to ensure a smooth massage process.
