The width of the insulation between layers should be able to cover the coil and separate the coils between the upper and lower layers, and its length should be 40 to 70 mm longer than the length of the core.
When the coil ends are in the same phase, no phase-to-phase insulation is provided, but when the power is large or the size of the 2-pole motor coil is large, in order to strengthen the insulation, a glass ribbon (commonly known as "tip") is wrapped around the nose of each coil. Between the out-of-phase coil groups, the interphase insulation of the triangular ends is inserted to separate the adjacent out-of-phase coils and bear the line voltage, so the insulation material is the same as the slot insulation.
For low voltage motors, in order to prevent arcing, the minimum distance between the windings and the ground is 10 mm.
