What are the commonly used micro DC motors for intelligent sweeping robots?

Intelligent sweeping robots need to be driven by micro DC motors to achieve various functions, such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, induction, etc. Different functions have different requirements for micro motors. Mopping requires a large torque motor, so how to choose a sweeping robot motor? The following is a brief description of Tianfu Micromotor.

In addition to the vacuum cleaner motor, the driving motor of the intelligent sweeping robot needs to have a deceleration function to increase the torque to drive better. The driving motor is generally a brushed DC motor, a brushless DC motor, a hollow cup motor, a stepper motor, etc., gears Most of the reduction structures are parallel gearboxes or planetary gearboxes to increase the output torque. The requirements of the sweeping robot for the micro motor are low noise and high torque, and it is necessary to prevent hair from entangling into the motor and the service life requirements.

The following are the advantages and disadvantages of several common sweeping robot motors

1) Brushed DC motor

At least 3 to 5 brushed DC motors are used in sweeping robots. Brushed DC motors belong to a type of DC motors. The structure is that there are fixed main magnetic poles and brushes on the stator, and armature windings are installed on the rotor. to the device. The electric energy of the DC current enters the armature winding through the brush and the commutator to generate the armature current, and the magnetic field generated by the armature current will interact with the main magnetic field to generate electromagnetic torque, so that the micromotor rotates to drive the load. The common sweeping robot voltage is 12V. For brushed DC motors, the advantages are low price, simple and convenient control, and large starting torque. The disadvantage is that the service life is short. Generally, the continuous running time is only about a few hundred hours. Large, the higher the speed, the more noise will be, but it will not exceed 50dB.

2) Brushless DC motor

The difference between a brushless DC motor and a brushed DC motor is that there are no brushes and commutators in the structure. Because there is no brush or commutator friction, the continuous operation life can reach thousands of hours, and the noise will be relatively low, but due to Without brushes and commutators, it is necessary to rotate the motor through electronic commutation, which will lead to complicated speed control and high cost, generally 1 to 3 times that of a brushed DC motor.

3) Hollow cup DC motor

The hollow cup DC motor is very different from other DC motors in structure. It cancels the iron core rotor structure of ordinary DC, and has outstanding energy-saving characteristics, convenient and sensitive controllability and operational stability. This structure is completely eliminated. Various mechanical energy losses caused by the eddy current formed by the iron core rotor of the ordinary micro DC motor are eliminated, and the volume and weight of the micro motor are reduced at the same time. Hollow cup DC motors are also divided into brushed and brushless structures.
