The operation mode of cheap Synchronous Motors

The operation mode of cheap Synchronous Motors

There are three main modes of operation of synchronous Motors, namely, as generators, motors and compensators.

As a generator operation is the main operation mode of synchronous motor.

As a motor operation is another important operation mode of synchronous motor. The power factor of the synchronous motor can be adjusted

Section, in the case of not requiring speed regulation, the application of large synchronous motors can improve the operation efficiency. The small synchronous motor has been used more often in the variable frequency speed regulation system.

Synchronous motors can also be connected to the power grid as synchronous compensators. At this time, the motor does not carry any mechanical load, and by adjusting the excitation flow in the rotor to the power grid, the required perceptual or capacitive reactive power is issued to achieve the purpose of improving the power factor of the power grid or adjusting the voltage of the grid.

Synchronous generators, like other types of rotary Motors, consist of two parts: a fixed stator and a rotatable rotor. It is generally divided into a rotating field synchronous motor and a rotating shaft synchronous motor.

The most commonly used is a rotating field synchronous generator. The inner circle of the stator core is evenly distributed with a stator slot, and a three-phase symmetric winding arranged in accordance with the rules is embedded in the slot. The stator of this synchronous motor is also called the armature, and the stator core and winding are also called armature core and armature winding.

The rotor core is equipped with a pair of magnetic poles that are made of a definite shape. The magnetic pole is wound with an excitation magnetic winding. When the DC current is passed, a polar dispersion magnetic field will be formed in the air gap of the motor. It is called an excitation magnetic field(also called a main magnetic field, a rotor magnetic field).

The prime mover drags the rotor(input mechanical energy to the motor), and the polar magnetic field rotates along the shaft and cuts the stator's phase windings(equivalent to the conductor reverse cutting magnetic field).
