Six matters needing attention in Brush DC motor replacement brush
The brush is a sliding contact and is a device for transmitting energy or signal between the fixed part and the rotating part of the Brush DC motor. The main component is carbon, so it is also called carbon brush, then the DC motor will be described in detail next. There are six things to note when replacing the brush.
1. Replace a single brush and put it into use without grinding. However, if there are more than 2 brushes on the same brush arm to be replaced, sandpaper should be used to make the contact surface with the commutator not less than 75%. For special reasons, all replacements are required. After the grinding is completed, it is necessary to run at no load of no more than 20% of the rated speed for 2 hours before the DC motor is put into operation.
2. During the process of putting in the brush, you should not be subjected to force. Pay attention to the obvious contact between the brush and the armature. Do not force it into it.
3. Due to the different hardness and current density of different types of brushes, the whole DC motor uses the same type of brushes. Of course, the same batch of products is good.
4. Grind the brush of the new DC motor to the arc size of the old brush.
5, pay attention to adjust the pressure of the brush, and the size of the brush should be equal, not too big or too small.
6. When replacing the double-stitched brushes, be sure to pay attention to the order of the front and back, and the slopes are consistent to prevent the brush from jumping and affecting the commutation.
