Several familiar motors - the conclusion
In this article, we introduce several motors that we are familiar with. In short, DC motors are gradually eliminated due to their poor reliability and performance. The control technology of switched reluctance motors is not mature. The noise and vibration are obvious at low speed, and the efficiency is low. It belongs to the future alternative; the secondary motor has secondary copper loss on the rotor of the induction motor, which has serious heat generation, low efficiency and large volume, and is often suitable for application on passenger cars with less strict volume requirements; the electric excitation synchronous motor system is bulky and electric. Brush slip rings require maintenance and have reliability implications, and are rarely seen except as generators.

For small passenger cars, permanent magnet synchronous motors are mainly used, and in China, the reserves of rare earth permanent magnet materials have unique advantages in resources. However, with the explosive growth of new energy vehicles, the research enthusiasm for new high-efficiency, low-cost, safe and reliable motors is also growing.
