The technology of the gearbox unit has become the mainstream technology of large wind turbines in the past ten years; the permanent magnet direct drive technology has not yet been tested by the market for a long time. From the current situation in China, the gearbox unit takes the mainstream position of wind power technology. Some companies believe that the gearbox is a component with high failure. The use of a gearless box structure can greatly improve the reliability of the wind turbine, reduce the failure rate, and improve the life of the wind turbine. Therefore, these enterprises are optimistic about the future development potential and market demand of the direct drive unit.
