Overview of the development of doubly-fed wind turbines
Second, the market application
According to the latest global wind power industry report released by BTM, the world's leading wind energy industry research institute, in 2009, the world's new wind power installed capacity was 13.8 million kilowatts. In the installed wind turbines, 86% of wind turbines use wind turbines with gearboxes. Generator set. Among the top ten wind power equipment manufacturers in the world, eight companies including VESTAS, GEWIND, Sinovel, GAMESA, Dongqi, SUZLON, SIEMENS and REPOWER use gearbox technology. Among the direct-drive wind power products, about 8.5% of the units use the electric excitation direct drive method, while the permanent magnet direct drive is less than 5%. At present, more than 800 offshore wind turbines that have been connected to the grid all over the world are all driven by gearboxes.
From the current domestic situation, the ratio of installed capacity of variable pitch doubly-fed wind turbines with gearbox units is the largest, representing manufacturers including Sinovel, Dongqi, Guodian United Power, Mingyang, Shanghai Electric and Beizhong. The market share is over 80%; the direct drive variable pitch fan also has a certain installed capacity, representing manufacturers including Goldwind Technology, Xiangdian Wind Energy, etc.
Third, the development trend
The maturity of wind turbine technology, the stability and reliability of quality, and timely and low-cost maintenance will be the most important criteria for market selection. The technology of the gearbox unit has become the mainstream technology of large wind turbines in the past ten years; the permanent magnet direct drive technology has not yet been tested by the market for a long time. From the current situation in China, the gearbox unit takes the mainstream position of wind power technology. Some companies believe that the gearbox is a component with high failure. The use of a gearless box structure can greatly improve the reliability of the wind turbine, reduce the failure rate, and improve the life of the wind turbine. Therefore, these enterprises are optimistic about the future development potential and market demand of the direct drive unit. The number of manufacturers with direct-drive wind turbine production technology is gradually increasing, including Enercon, Goldwind, Siemens, GE, Xiangdian Wind Energy, Aerospace Wanyuan and Dongfang Electric.
