Low operating efficiency of the motor
The average level of motor efficiency in China is 3-5 percentage points lower than that of foreign countries. The high-efficiency motor currently used only accounts for about 3%. For every one percentage point increase in the energy efficiency of the industrial sector, the annual electricity consumption can be saved by about 26 billion kWh. By promoting efficient motors, eliminating inefficient motors, efficient remanufacturing of inefficient motors, and matching energy-saving retrofits of motor systems based on their load characteristics and operating conditions, the overall efficiency of the motor system can be improved by 5-8. The percentage of electricity can reach 13 to 230 billion kWh per year, which is equivalent to the power generation of 2-3 Three Gorges power stations. Among various energy-saving measures, the use of speed regulation technology is an important means of energy saving in motor systems, and its energy-saving potential is 10~50%, and the effect is best.
