Sputum pump is an indispensable and important tool to prevent and treat patients' respiratory tract obstruction and rescue asphyxia. At present, there are still many difficulties in the rescue of emergency asphyxia, especially under the conditions of war and rescue, and there are more problems encountered. It is neither possible to have skilled medical personnel in all levels of medical units for rescue, nor is it possible to have perfect medical equipment and sufficient power supply.
A few years ago, there was a foot type sputum suction device without power supply on the market, but the structure is complex, the attraction is far from meet the needs, its weight is also several kilograms, inconvenient to carry and use, early was eliminated. At present, the sputum suction device on the market is still mainly electric, so in the case of no power supply and war rescue, the injured and patients for routine sputum suction, tracheotomy and other treatment has become a major problem.
Therefore, the research requirement of wartime anti-asphyxiation equipment is more urgent. According to the military war and rescue research plan, we have successfully developed a light manual sputum suction device, which has the characteristics of small size, light weight, attractive, compact structure, easy to carry, low cost, strong and durable, and is suitable for any nursing and first aid sputum suction without electricity.
The suction device consists of chirp tube, piston, handle, sputum storage chamber, suction tube and sputum discharge tube joint. Made of aluminum alloy, measuring 22cm long and weighing 270g, the narrowest inner diameter of the sputum suction pipe joint is greater than the corresponding part of the electric sputum suction device.
When use, one pull can produce a negative pressure of 60 kPa (450mmHg), and a negative pressure of 80 kPa (600mmHg). Its suction is greater than the commonly used electric attractor.
