How to distinguish between AC inverter air conditioner and DC inverter air conditioner?

For air conditioners, the advantages and disadvantages of fixed frequency and variable frequency are measured by themselves. If you buy a frequency conversion, it is to see who has the highest power saving efficiency. The following editor will introduce to you how to distinguish between AC inverter air conditioners and DC inverter air conditioners? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each? How to distinguish between AC inverter air conditioner and DC inverter air conditioner

In fact, the easiest way to distinguish between AC inverter and DC inverter air conditioners is to see who is the most energy-efficient under the same cooling capacity, regardless of what DC and AC inverters are. All frequency conversions that are not intended to save electricity are shrimps. Let's talk about some common sense to give you a basic understanding of air conditioners.

1. Fixed frequency air conditioner: It is an air conditioner that drives a compressor by an ordinary AC induction motor. This kind of motor is the same as the motor of ordinary electric fan, that is, the power is higher. The disadvantage of fixed-frequency air conditioners is that in the case of continuous operation, the compressor starts and stops frequently, resulting in relatively high power consumption. Why does it start and stop frequently? Taking refrigeration as an example, the compressor needs to extract the refrigerant (refrigerant) from the evaporator (internal unit), compress it into a liquid state, and then send it to the condenser for heat dissipation. After heat dissipation, the refrigerant is sent to the evaporator for cooling, and so on. .

Because the fixed frequency motor cannot adjust the speed, after the compressor works for a period of time, the room temperature drops to the preset temperature, and the compressor stops working; the room temperature starts to rise, and after the preset temperature exceeds the preset temperature, the compressor has to start working again and continue pumping, and so on.

Because the current and voltage of the motor has a large impact when it starts and stops, the efficiency is very low. This additional consumption leads to the relative power consumption of fixed frequency air conditioners. However, the fixed frequency air conditioner is simple in structure, reliable in performance, convenient in maintenance and low in cost.

2. AC inverter air conditioner: In order to overcome the shortcomings of the above-mentioned fixed frequency air conditioner, a frequency converter is inserted between the AC induction motor and the mains to convert the fixed frequency mains into an alternating current with adjustable frequency and voltage, and then use this alternating current. To control the motor, let the original non-variable motor become a variable-speed motor. According to the ambient temperature and cooling/heating requirements, the working speed of the compressor is changed to adjust the amount of cooling/heating heat, so that the compressor does not have to be started and stopped frequently because of these factors, which overcomes the above-mentioned shortcomings of fixed-frequency air conditioners.

But inserting a frequency converter increases the cost of the air conditioner (including maintenance costs), and at the same time, the relatively complex frequency converter also reduces reliability. The benefit is relative energy saving and environmental protection.

Because this inverter drives an AC induction motor, it is called an AC inverter air conditioner. In fact, to be precise, it should be called an AC motor inverter air conditioner; the DC inverter air conditioner to be mentioned later should also be called a DC motor inverter air conditioner. As many netizens have said, frequency conversion has always been AC, and DC has no frequency. It's just that everyone is used to calling it this way to save trouble.

3. DC inverter air conditioner: The AC induction motor also has a disadvantage, that is, its rotor obtains the magnetic field by the AC induction of the stator coil, so as to drive the compressor to work, so it needs to consume additional current. In order to remove this part of the consumption, it is natural that some people think of using permanent magnets to make the rotor of the motor instead of the rotor that obtains the magnetic field by induced current. Such a motor is actually called a permanent magnet AC synchronous motor. But its work and control method is the same as the original DC motor with carbon brushes, so it can also be called a DC motor. This kind of motor must work with the corresponding inverter, and ordinary commercial power cannot drive this kind of motor. There are two types of inverters that work with this type of motor, one is square wave and the other is sine wave. Among them, the sine wave is more power-efficient and has lower noise than the square wave.
