How the pump works

With the impeller spinning at high speed, the liquid gains energy under the action of inertial centrifugal force, increasing the pressure. Before the pump works, the pump body and inlet pipe should be filled with water to prevent cavitation. When the impeller rotates rapidly, the blade makes the water rotate quickly, and the rotating water flies away from the impeller under the action of centrifugal force. After the water in the pump is thrown out, the central part of the impeller forms a vacuum area. Under the action of atmospheric pressure (or water pressure), the water from the source is pressed into the inlet pipe through the pipe network.

Mechanical structure:

The basic structure of the centrifugal pump is composed of six parts, respectively: impeller, pump body, pump shaft, bearing, sealing ring, packing box.

1, the impeller is the core part of the centrifugal pump, its speed is high force, the blade on the impeller and play a major role, the impeller in the assembly before the static balance experiment. The inner and outer surfaces of the impeller should be smooth to reduce the friction loss of water flow.

2, the pump body is also known as the pump shell, it is the main body of the pump. It plays a supporting and fixing role and is connected with the bracket for installing bearings.

3, the role of the pump shaft is connected with the motor coupling, the motor pitch to the impeller, so it is the main part of the transfer of mechanical energy.

4, bearing is set on the pump shaft to support the pump shaft components, there are two kinds of rolling bearings and sliding bearings. Sliding bearings use transparent oil as lubricant, refueling to the oil level line.

5. The sealing ring is also known as the leakage reduction ring.

6. Stuffing box is mainly composed of stuffing, water sealing ring, packing cylinder, packing gland and water sealing pipe. The function of the stuffing box is mainly to close the gap between the pump shell and the pump shaft, so that the water in the pump does not flow to the outside and does not let the air outside into the pump. Always keep the vacuum in the pump. When the friction between the pump shaft and the packing produces heat, it is necessary to rely on the water seal pipe to hold the water to the water seal ring to cool the packing and keep the pump running normally. So in the operation of the pump tour inspection process of the stuffing box inspection is special attention! The packing should be replaced after 600 hours of operation.
