Customized stepper motors

When we customize the stepper motor, we need to understand the relevant performance and its working characteristics. Even if the same stepper motor is used in different driving schemes, its torque and frequency characteristics vary greatly. When the stepper motor is in operation, the pulse signals are alternately added to the winding of each phase in a certain order (the winding turn-off mode is controlled by the ring distributor in the driver).Different from other motors, the nominal rated voltage and rated current of stepper motor are only reference values. And because the stepper motor is powered by pulse mode, the supply voltage is its highest voltage, not the average voltage, so the stepper motor can work beyond its rated range. However, the selection should not deviate too far from the rating. The stepper motor can operate normally at low speed, but it cannot be started if the frequency is higher than a certain frequency, accompanied by a loud noise. The stepper motor has a technical parameter: no-load starting frequency, that is, the pulse frequency that the stepper motor can start normally under no-load condition. If the pulse frequency is higher than this value, the motor cannot start normally, which may result in step loss or stalling.Under load, the startup frequency should be lower. If the motor is to reach high speed rotation, the pulse frequency should have an acceleration process, that is, the starting frequency is low, and then rise to the desired high frequency according to a certain acceleration (the motor speed rises from low speed to high speed). The power supply current is generally determined according to the output phase current I of the driver. If linear power supply is used, the power supply current is generally 1.1 ~ 1.3 times of I;If switching power supply is used, the power current is generally 1.5 ~ 2.0 times of I.
