For the customized power motor, the selection conditions are as follows: the motor has to withstand two forms of torque: constant load torque and cutting torque including friction torque);Acceleration/deceleration moment.The following describes the calculation methods of these two kinds of torque and the conditions that should be met when selecting the motor.
Condition 1:
When the machine is running without load, the torque applied to the motor should be less than 50% of the motor's continuous rated torque.Otherwise, the motor may overheat during cutting or adding/subtracting/speed.
Condition 2:
The addition (/ reduction) time should be short and within the allowable range of the motor.Usually, the load torque helps the motor to slow down, so if the acceleration can be done in the allowed time, the deceleration can be done in the same time.In this way, we only need to calculate the acceleration moment and calculate the moment within the allowable time in the intermittent zone of the motor's mechanical characteristics.
Condition 3:
Frequent positioning and acceleration/deceleration will cause the motor to heat up. In this case, it is necessary to calculate the root mean square value Trms of the torque borne by the motor, making it less than the rated torque Tc of the motor.
Condition 4:
When the load fluctuates frequently, the root mean square value of the load torque Tmrs of a working cycle should be calculated to make it less than the rated torque of the motor.
Conditions of 5:
The operating time of the motor with cutting torque should be within the allowable range (calculate Ton).
