Common welding method for motor windings

Common welding method for motor windings

Silver brazing (gas welding)

The welding method is suitable for applications where the operating current is high, the temperature is high, and the reliability requirements are high, and it is also the welding method adopted by most motor manufacturers. The welding equipment is an acetylene oxygen welding torch. When welding, in order to prevent the insulation of the motor wire near the wire head, the asbestos rope should be wrapped around the line. At the same time, it is necessary to prevent solder and flux from flowing into the gap of the coil, and burn the insulation to cause a short circuit.

Soldering

Soldering is convenient and the soldering points are firm, so the application is most common, but the operating temperature is low. Commonly used soldering is soldering and soldering. When the number of welding heads is large, a method of pouring tin can be used. Due to the limitation of the low melting point of the solder tin, it is only used in small motors and motor windings with low temperature rise.

Arc welding

When the wire of the winding is thin, it can be welded by arc welding. The characteristic of arc welding is that it does not require flux, which is quick and convenient. However, when multiple parallels and more wires are used, if the operation is unskilled, it is easy to be leaked or not welded.

Copper and aluminum welding oxygen welding

When soldering, first connect the copper wire or copper lead to the tin, and then wrap the scraped aluminum wire on the copper wire and make the aluminum wire slightly higher than the copper wire. A layer of aluminum solder powder is applied, and the aluminum wire is melted by a gas-welded neutral flame to fuse the aluminum to the top of the copper to form a spherical solder joint. This method is adopted in the welding process of the wire and lead of many motor factories.

Argon arc welding

Argon arc welding is based on the principle of ordinary arc welding. It uses argon gas to protect the metal welding material. The high current causes the welding material to melt into a liquid state on the material to be welded to form a molten pool, so that the metal to be welded and the welding material can be reached. A welding technique of metallurgical bonding, because argon gas is continuously supplied in high-temperature fusion welding, the welding material cannot be in contact with oxygen in the air, thereby preventing oxidation of the welding consumable. This welding plays a good role in the welding quality of the multi-turn winding.
