Using the ac universal motor electric fan, generally called the ordinary electric fan, the business parameters will usually write on the "fixed frequency" two words.
Advantages: using AC motor, so the price is cheap; supply a wide air range; large air volume; the number of blades, 3,5,7,9 optional; suitable for home, bedroom, hotel, factory and office scenarios.
Disadvantages: the wind is not soft, the wind sense is hard; there will be noise and shaking problems; large weight and volume, more space.
The main reasons why the motor does not turn are: winding circuit break, oil lack of shaft holding, abnormal capacitance, etc. From the maintenance practice of electric fans, the latter two kinds of faults are in the majority. For the electric fan that does not turn, my maintenance steps are to measure the plug, turn the motor, measure the capacitance, and reprocess.
In the first step, measure the electric fan operation and speed regulation winding. Turn the fan timer first, and when you hear a tap sound, the timer is normal. If there is no tap sound, the timer is damaged. If there is no resistance value, the motor winding may be burned open circuit. For a string of hot fuse motor, it may be a hot fuse open circuit, but also should open the motor to have a look, if only the open circuit, the short connection hot fuse can return to normal. All of the gear switches are damaged, but they are unlikely.
The second step, check whether the shaft is held, open the electric fan shield, with the hand to rotate the motor shaft, if not turn, indicating that the motor shaft is serious. Open the motor, first remove the oil and rust on the front and rear axle sleeve and the motor shaft, and then add enough sewing machine oil to the linoleum of the front and rear axle sleeve, and most of the electric fans can eliminate the fault.
The third step is to measure the starting capacitance. If the motor shaft rotates flexibly, measure the starting capacitor of the electric fan motor. First, with the multimeter R 100 Ω gear, measure the resistance of both ends of the motor start capacitor, the whole fan motor operation, start and speed regulation winding value, namely the resistance value of the black and yellow leads.
