The structure of the structural synchronous motor is basically the same as that of the synchronous generator, and the rotor is also divided into convex pole and hidden pole. However, most synchronous motors are convex. The installation form is also divided into horizontal and vertical. In order to solve the starting problem of synchronous Motors, a starting winding is generally installed on its rotor. It can also suppress oscillations during operation, so it is also called damping winding. In addition to the above traditional structure, there is also a claw-pole rotor structure without sliding contact. Taking the 6-pole motor as an example, two sets of claw-shaped magnetic poles are installed opposite to each other on the shaft. One group extends 3 poles to the right along the shaft on the claw plate; The other group is mounted on the right side in reverse so that the claw plate extends three poles to the left along the axis. The polarity of the two magnetic poles is opposite. After the outer circular surface of the magnetic pole is assembled, it is no longer a circular tile like a general convex motor, but a cuneiform tile surface, that is, the pole arc at one end is longer than the other, and the entire rotor shape is shown in the figure. The excitation coil is assembled at the outer edge of the magnetic yoke on both sides. The resulting flux passes through the lateral main air gap GM between the N and S poles, the axial air gap G1 and G2 between the rotor and the stator, and is then closed via the end cover and the seat, as shown in the dotted line in the figure. In order to prevent short circuit of the magnetic flux axis, non-magnetic steel should be used for the shaft; Or divide the shaft into three sections, and the middle section is non-magnetic steel. The main advantage of this structure is that there is no winding of the rotating part, and there is no sliding contact between the collector and the brush, so the operation is reliable, the insulation structure is simple, and maintenance is also convenient. However, its main magnet is Luchang and there are more air gaps, which increases the power required for excitation; The motor shell has strong magnetism, which will cause the bearing to heat up; The shaft must also adopt magnetic isolation measures. Therefore, this type of motor has not been widely promoted and is only used on certain special occasions. Generally, the capacity does not exceed a few hundred kilowatts.
