Brake working condition
●The relative humidity of the surrounding air is not more than 85% (20±5°C)
● There are no gases and dust in the surrounding medium that are sufficient to corrode metals and damage insulation.
● Class B insulation is used around the brakes. The voltage fluctuation does not exceed +5% and -15% of the rated voltage. The working mode is the continuous working system installation control requirement.
● The accuracy of the coupling between the drive shaft and the brake should be ensured during installation.
● The brake must be cleaned before installation, and there should be no oil or dust inside the friction surface and brake.
● The gear sleeve must be axially fixed.
Simple calculation principle of selection
The choice of brake type depends to a large extent on the amount of braking torque required. In addition, the inertia moment of braking, relative speed, braking time, operating frequency and other factors should also be considered. The following are the styling rules recommended by a certain brake manufacturer. Different manufacturers will have some differences, but the principles are similar.
Calculate the required braking torque: T = K × 9550 × P / n
Where: T - required braking torque (N.m)
P——Drive power (kW)
N——relative speed (r/min) when the brake is braked
K safety factor (take K> 2)
Brake maintenance and care
● After the brake is used for a period of time, due to the wear of the friction member, it is necessary to adjust the clearance value by adjusting the screw, the nut, the adjustment sleeve, etc., so as to meet the specified value.
● The friction surface should always be clean and free of impurities.
Problems that must be paid attention to during the installation process
● The brake and the motor share the power supply, so that the motor and the brake are simultaneously supplied with power and at the same time lose power.
● In view of the characteristics of both power supply and power loss at the same time, it is necessary to ensure the consistency of the rated voltage of the two.
● The brake can only lose power at the rated voltage and release the brake control. Once the voltage is low, the motor cannot be started, and the motor will be burnt. Therefore, the motor with the brake must be started under full pressure.
For the short-circuit test of the motor, because the pressure is low (such as 380V three-phase asynchronous motor, the pressure is generally 100V), it can meet the static state requirement of the motor without blocking.
●The clearance of the brake disc is generally adjusted at the time of shipment. After the brake is installed, the gap conformity should be verified, and the conformity judgment should be made through inspection and test.
● The brake wiring should be reliable. The terminal end should be installed under the motor's own wiring fixing nut together with the motor stator terminal to ensure that the customer's wiring will not affect its original wiring reliability. This is also the fact that Ms. mentioned in the head of the article about the improvement of the brake wiring, it can be regarded as the fact that it is repaired.
Cause analysis
●The brake cannot be released after power-on: Possible causes include coil damage; power is not connected or the voltage is insufficient; the working clearance is too large to be attracted.
● Brake braking torque is not enough: the motor speed is too high; the motor load is too large; the friction surface is contaminated or damaged; the spring elasticity is insufficient or invalid.
●Brake heat: The friction plate slips due to overload; the supply voltage is insufficient.
