The application of BLDCM is very wide, such as automobile, tool, industrial control, automation, aerospace and so on. In general, BLDCM can be divided into the following three main uses:
Continuous load application: it mainly refers to the fields that need a certain speed but do not require high speed accuracy, such as fans, pumps, blowers and other applications, which have low cost and are mostly open-loop control.
Variable load application: it is mainly the application where the speed needs to change within a certain range, and has higher requirements for the motor speed characteristics and dynamic response time characteristics. For example, home appliances, dryer and compressor are good examples. In the field of automobile industry, oil pump control, electric controller, engine control, etc., the system cost of such applications is relatively higher.
Positioning application: most industrial control and automatic control applications belong to this category. In this kind of application, energy transmission is often completed, so there are special requirements for the dynamic response and torque of speed, and also higher requirements for the controller. Photoelectric and some synchronous equipment may be used for speed measurement. Process control, mechanical control and transportation control are many of these applications.
