Application and wiring method of PWM DC motor governor
The pulse width modulation is called PulseWidthModulator, referred to as PWM. Due to its special performance, it is often used in DC load loops, lamp dimming or DC motor speed regulation, HW-1020 governor, which uses pulse width modulation (PWM). The principle of the motor governor, PWM governor has been: industrial DC motor speed control, industrial conveyor belt speed control, lighting and lighting mediation, computer power supply cooling, DC fan, etc., has been widely used.
HW-A-1020 type (DC12v24v voltage universal type) governor, working principle: the average current power on the load is changed from 0-100% by changing the duty ratio of the output square wave, thereby changing the load and the brightness of the light/ Motor speed. The pulse width modulation (PWM) method is used to realize dimming/speed regulation, and its advantage is that the energy of the power source can be fully utilized and the efficiency of the circuit is high.
For example, when the output is 50% square wave, the pulse width modulation (PWM) circuit output energy is also 50%, that is, almost all energy is converted to the load. When using the common resistor step-down speed regulation, in order to make the load get 50% of the power of the power supply, the power supply must provide more than 71% of the output power, 21% of which is consumed by the voltage drop and heat consumption of the resistor. The energy of the large cloth is consumed by the resistor, and the remaining energy is the output energy, and the conversion efficiency is very low.
In addition, the HW-A-1020 speed regulation has almost no heat consumption due to its switching mode. The HW-A-1020 speed regulation has a very high torque at low speed, because the governor has automatic tracking PWM and pulse width modulation. The (PWM) mode can make the load get almost full power supply voltage during operation, which is beneficial to overcome the inherent coil resistance of the motor and make the motor generate a larger torque rate.
PWM DC motor wiring
Wiring method: HW-A-1020 governor has three terminals, the specific wiring method, please refer to the text below
(1) Black wire: Connect the battery to the iron when the DC power supply is negative or when the battery is used.
(2) Red line: When the DC power supply is connected or when the battery is used, the battery is positive.
(3) Positive motor: Connect the positive pole of the DC power supply or the battery positive pole when using the battery.
(4) Blue line: Connect the DC motor negative
Instructions for use: After the wiring is correct, the power is adjusted clockwise to adjust the knob. At this time, you can hear or feel the sound inside the speed switch. It is proved that the internal switch has been opened. As the angle of the knob increases, the motor speed is continuously increased. The acceleration of the motor also reaches the highest speed when the knob is turned to the end. Note: Do not reverse the positive and negative poles.
