Application advantages and principles of micro DC motors in water pumps

Micro DC motors can provide a variety of power, such as suction, vibration, telescopic, swing, etc., can be used in a variety of different fields,

The DC motor water pump generates suction through the high-speed rotation of the motor. When the DC motor is working, the coil and the commutator rotate continuously, the magnetic pole and the carbon brush are fixed, and the alternating change of the coil current direction is completed with the friction between the commutator and the brush of the DC motor.

The water pump micro DC motor can be divided into

1) Brushed DC motor

Advantages: low cost, convenient speed regulation, large starting torque.

Disadvantage: The friction between the carbon brush and the commutator of the DC motor will cause the noise to become louder, and the continuous running time is only about a few hundred hours to 1000 hours.

2) Brushless DC motor

Advantages: no carbon brushes and commutators, electronic commutators are used, which reduces friction and the service life is only limited by the quality of the bearing, and the noise is also low.

Disadvantages: The speed regulation method is complicated, resulting in a cost increase of 1 to 3 times that of a brushed DC motor.

Features of micro DC motor pump

1) Long service life, small size, high efficiency, low energy consumption, and no maintenance;

2) The micro DC motor can do a variety of different parameters at the same rated voltage, such as 12V20000rpm, 12V25000rpm, etc.;

3) The miniature DC motor has high precision and good shock resistance, the noise is lower than 35dB, and the motor with low power has less noise, which can almost achieve mute effect;

4) The DC motor can realize PWM speed regulation, analog signal input speed regulation, potentiometer manual speed regulation, etc.

Precautions for the use of DC motor water pumps

1) Prevent foreign particles from entering, such as ferromagnetic impurities, particles entering will increase the friction of DC motor drive;

2) To prevent demagnetization, the high temperature of the DC motor will lead to demagnetization, so that the DC motor cannot rotate;

3) Minimize idle time.

DC Motor Selection Considerations

1) Determine the working voltage, current, speed, etc. The higher the voltage, the faster the speed, the greater the current, and the greater the noise;

2) Determine the volume size and shape;

3) Determine the working environment, such as working temperature, etc.
