Design and Simulation of Brushless DC Motor Control System Based on Saber

The research and analysis of the brushless DC motor control system is completed by Saber simulation software. The position sensor, electronic commutator and three-phase inverter circuit in the control system are researched and analyzed respectively, and the simulation model construction, function verification and performance analysis are completed. Finally, the functional modules are organically integrated. The overall simulation test of the control system is completed. The simulation results show that the system design is reasonable and the simulation results are consistent with the theoretical analysis.

Brushless DC motors are developed on the basis of brushed DC motors. In 1955, D. Harrison et al. of the United States first applied for the replacement of a brushed motor mechanical brush with a transistor commutation circuit, marking the birth of this modern brushless DC motor. Compared with brushed motors, brushless DC motors use electronic commutation instead of mechanical commutation, high speed, high output power, long life, good heat dissipation, no commutation sparks, low noise, and can work under high-altitude thin conditions. It is used in servo systems that require high power-to-weight ratio, fast response, and high reliability.

With the improvement of the function and speed of DSP digital control chip, the control circuit and embedded control software with digital signal processor as the core will represent the development direction of brushless DC motor control. The brushless DC motor must be used in conjunction with the electronic commutator and position feedback device, and the control is more flexible, which leads to an increase in control hardware and algorithm complexity. In the design process of the brushless DC motor control system, mathematical simulation analysis means can be used to better grasp the dynamic characteristics of the system, verify whether the circuit design is correct, whether the matching of components and control parameters is reasonable, and thus more effective system design.

In this paper, Synopsys' power electronic simulation software Saber is used to establish the simulation analysis model of the control system of brushless DC motor. The position sensor, electronic commutator and three-phase inverter circuit in the control system are researched and analyzed to complete the simulation. Model construction, functional verification and performance analysis, and finally use the overall model for system simulation experiments.

In this paper, the simulation software Saber is used to complete the modeling and analysis of the brushless DC control system. The system simulation test proves that the control system works normally and the simulation precision is high. The simulation results are consistent with the theoretical analysis. Matlab/Simulink simulation software is mainly suitable for motor control system research. Pspice simulation tool is mainly suitable for analysis of power electronic circuits. Saber software contains a wealth of power electronic components and motor model library, with high precision and at the same time. advantage. Therefore, based on the simulation analysis of Saber's motor control system, the detailed design and fine analysis of the circuit design can be realized while mastering the dynamic characteristics of the system, and the control strategy and algorithm can be verified to more effectively perform the system and subsystem. The design provides a very efficient design approach for the application of motor control systems.
