The procurement and use of new high-efficiency and energy-saving motors has made the energy saving rate of pumping stations reach 3% or more, and the comprehensive energy saving has reached more than 15%.

"If the overall efficiency of China's motor system is increased by 5%, the annual energy savings will be equivalent to the power generation of one or two Three Gorges power stations," said Zhao Yuejin, the main drafter of China's high-efficiency motor national standards.

This is not an exaggeration. As a driving device for various devices such as a drag fan, a water pump, a compressor, a machine tool, and a conveyor belt, the motor is widely used in various fields such as industry, agriculture, transportation, and municipal administration, and is the terminal device that consumes the most power. Motor power consumption accounts for 64% of the total electricity consumption of the whole society and 75% of industrial electricity.

Efficient motor promotion dates back to 2008. In 2008, China listed the energy saving of motor system as one of the top ten energy-saving projects in the country. In 2009, it also applied high-efficiency and ultra-efficient motor applications to Huimin Engineering. On June 2, 2010, it issued a notice saying that high-efficiency motors should be included in energy-saving. The scope of implementation of the product Huimin project has made the market promotion of high-efficiency motors attract much attention.

The embarrassing situation is that although high-efficiency motors have been promoted for many years, high-efficiency motors are not fully integrated into the market. At present, the proportion of high-efficiency motors is still relatively low. "China's high-efficiency motor research and development is basically in sync with the international level. In recent years, the technological progress has been very optimistic, especially in terms of motor efficiency and foreign countries. But unfortunately, the IE3 motor produced in our country is used too little, most of them. Used for export." Academician Tang Renyuan, a well-known domestic motor expert, said. According to statistics from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the proportion of high-efficiency motors in domestic motors is only about 5%.

Fortunately, this issue has received the attention of the state. The National Motor Energy Efficiency Improvement Plan, which is being implemented, is planned to take three years to improve the energy efficiency of the national motor and promote the transformation and upgrading of the motor industry.
